The Start Up Bromley Business Week will run Monday 14 March – Saturday 19 March and will include: workshops, a business panel and the Business Pitch Competition Final. Ending the week will be the Spring Marketplace at Contingent Works on Saturday 19 March (11:00 – 16:00).

Taking place in the Workshop Room at Bromley Central Library.

The second day of the workshops will explore legal and compliance topics related to businesses .

About the workshop:

This workshop aims to equip individuals with an understanding of the basic legal and compliance elements needed for the business. It is intended for business owners or anyone who deals with legal and/or compliance within a business.

This workshop will provide vital information to business owners of SME’s to ensure they are complying with data protection rules and gives an insight on the responsibilities and challenges they will face.

Topics covered:

• Companies House;
• Internal Company Structure;
• Negotiating and drafting GDPR contracts;
• What to expect in the first year.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have:

• Gained an insight into the legal and compliance considerations for new businesses;
• Understood how to incorporate compliance into your supply chain;
• Gained an understanding of how GDPR will be relevant to your business;
• Pocketed some freebies (templates)!

The workshop will be run by KANR Legal Co-Founder Alexandra Sodimu-Jones.
